We’re getting closer to this every day.
Not because AI is going to “replace architects tomorrow.”
But because the way architects work is changing incredibly fast.
A process that once required hours — sometimes days — can now start from a single prompt.
Concept development.
Mood boards.
Material exploration.
Visualization.
Presentations.
Documentation support.
AI is slowly moving from being a tool we experiment with… to becoming part of the actual design workflow.
But here’s the important part:
AI can generate options.
Architects still make decisions.
It doesn’t understand the client the way you do.
It doesn’t coordinate with contractors.
It doesn’t stand on site solving problems.
It doesn’t understand budgets, regulations, human behavior, detailing and ex*****on the way an experienced architect does.
At least not yet.
The architects who will have the biggest advantage over the next few years won’t necessarily be the ones who can draw faster.
They will be the ones who know how to combine:
Design thinking + technical experience + AI.
And that is exactly why architects and interior designers should start learning these tools now — not after everyone else does.
