This is the second time I have engaged Glenn to insulate a new build. The first was 2013, We have enjoyed living in an environment 19 to 23 degrees on a min/max thermometer throughout the year on the farm, running an A/c off the roof in summer heat and a 900mm wood heater in winter turned as low as I can get it. I have to open doors to let heat out !. Our heating / Cooling costs are negligible.

This Foam solution is impressive.

The current 2026 retirement build is in town where energy prices are an issue. And will be for a decade or so. My experience from the farm is that you can never spend enough / too much money on Insulation.. The house will be draft free and airtight, The spray on product achieves all the benchmarks I wanted. In the 2013 Farm house, It prevents fire embers taking hold via the ridge capping and gutters, it has not degraded like pink batts do. Today, there is not a spider web in the plenum. An even and comfortable temperature range is maintained, it is worry free and I enjoy minimal heating/cooling costs, together with reduced sound transmission, which will be important in town.
With the 2026 house I have opted for deeper 140mm studs as we will be paying for gas when the solar system is under performing in winter.
In conclusion Glenn has delivered, one does not come back a second time unless they are thoroughly satisfied in their experience with the product and those that deliver it.

Q & A for the day!
"What happens to wiring and plumbing in my subfloor if I get my subfloor spray foamed?"

Most electrical wiring in a subfloor runs along the bearers, so it is not usually sprayed over. If any wiring does need to be encapsulated, the foam we use is suitable for this application and does not leach plasticisers from the cable insulation.

Plumbing is also generally unaffected, as it is usually positioned away from the areas being sprayed. We always work carefully around existing services and keep any areas that may require future access clear where needed.

🧱 **Can existing walls be insulated without removing the whole wall lining?**

InjectaCore can be injected into suitable wall cavities as a retrofit insulation option. Unlike batts, which need to be inserted and fitted within the cavity, InjectaCore is installed into the cavity and expands to fill suitable spaces. The right approach depends on the wall construction and cavity, so an assessment is essential.

It may suit some brick-veneer, double-brick and internal wall applications.

Not all spray foam quotes include the same product, thickness, performance or supporting evidence.

Before comparing prices, ask:

✅ What exact product and formulation are being quoted?

✅ What installed thickness and total R-value are included?

✅ Does the proposed R-value satisfy the project’s NCC, NatHERS or energy-report requirements? for eg. R2.0 is commonly specified for Victorian subfloors, but the requirement must be confirmed for the individual building.

✅ Which current technical data sheet or test report supports each performance claim?

✅ Is the product appropriate for the property’s moisture, exposure and ventilation conditions?

✅ Does the evidence apply to the proposed roof, wall or floor assembly—or to a completely different construction?
