Here at Next Gen Next Generation Eco Underfloor Insulation, we are often asked a few standard questions.
1. What product do you use? We use an Australian made 80% recycled PET bottle polyester with an R2.5 rating. The highest rating for underfloor insulation
2. Is it fire proof? Yes the product is non combustible and complies with the BAL Australian Standard.
3. How is it installed? The product comes in 10m rolls, we pull it over your bearers and it sits snuggly between your joists, we then staple it to said joists every 100mm on both sides with 12mm stainless steel staples.
4. Do pests get into it? No they don't, unlike fibre glass bats, it is a layered product, not a compressed product wich means that it can't be torn apart or separated, keeping all the nasties out.
5. How long does it last? The product comes with a life of house gaurentee. It does not decompose, break down or loose its shape.
6. How effective is it? The reports I have received as feed back have shown that there is potential to save 25% on your energy bill and maintain a 5°c cooler temperature in the summer and 5°c warmer in winter. Meaning you don't have to burn as much wood in your heater or run your air-conditioning as consistently.
6. What is the minimum height for instalation?
We can work in spaces as low as 300mm
7. Can it be installed around Central air-conditioning and underfloor ventilation? More often than not we encounter these obstacles, it is not a problem.
