Gerflor was proud to support the Canberra 2025 World Boccia Challenger by supplying its internationally recognised sports flooring, helping create a Paralympic standard competition environment for athletes from around the world.

As Australia’s first international boccia event in 12 years, the Challenger was a landmark moment for the sport, welcoming 51 athletes from 12 nations and showcasing Australia’s capability to host world class para-sport events. Beyond the competition itself, the event strengthened pathways for athletes, officials, volunteers and emerging players, while highlighting the power of inclusion, accessibility and community participation.

By providing a high-performance playing surface trusted at elite international sporting events, Gerflor helped deliver a competition environment that met the demands of world-class boccia and contributed to the event’s lasting legacy for the future growth of the sport in Australia.

With more than 20 years of experience across Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, India and Southern Asia, Pas brings a wealth of industry knowledge, leadership expertise and a truly global perspective to the role. Throughout an impressive career in sales, construction and commercial flooring, he has worked on some of the world’s largest and most complex projects, experiences that have shaped his ability to build strong client relationships, lead high-performing teams and deliver outstanding project outcomes. His hands-on leadership style, collaborative approach and passion for supporting teams make him a fantastic addition to our leadership group.

Pas has a proven track record of driving growth, developing new markets and introducing innovative product solutions across multiple regions. From helping launch new products and systems in 12 countries to leading architectural specification and contractor engagement programs, he has consistently focused on creating value for customers through performance, sustainability and education. The renovation of the North Ryde RSL Youth Club Sports Hall delivered a high-performance indoor sporting environment through the installation of Gerflor Taraflex® Performance sports flooring over Taraflex® Isolsport underlay. Designed to enhance player comfort, safety and long-term durability, the system provides excellent shock absorption, energy return and sports performance characteristics, making it ideal for multi-purpose community and club level sporting activities. The project transformed the existing facility into a modern, professional grade sports venue capable of supporting a wide range of indoor sports while delivering the proven performance and protection that athletes expect from the Taraflex flooring system.
