Where should the work happen?
Right there in the pavement — or somewhere else?

🌍 With ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, fuel prices and supply chains remain volatile.

💰 Add to that increasing financial pressure on infrastructure budgets.

The question is no longer just how we build…
It’s how we build smarter.

🚧 Traditional reconstruction
For decades, it’s been the default approach — but in today’s environment, it comes at a cost:
• High material import and disposal requirements
• Heavy reliance on fuel and transport
• Longer programs and increased disruption

⚙️ Stabilisation offers a different approach — one that directly responds to these challenges.

🛣️ In-situ stabilisation
Rebuilds the pavement in place using existing materials.
• Minimises haulage and fuel consumption
• Reduces program time and disruption
• Lower cost with lower carbon footprint

🏭 Ex-situ stabilisation
Processes materials in a controlled environment before reuse.
• Improves consistency and material performance
• Addresses unsuitable or variable materials
• Stignificantly reduces reliance on new resources

📊 In today’s conditions, the decision lens has shifted:
It’s no longer just about design strength — it’s about resilience.

📊 Which solution reduces cost, risk, and reliance on volatile supply chains?
Key considerations:
• Fuel and transport exposure
• Material availability and supply risk
• Site and staging constraints
• Program pressures
• Environmental outcomes

🧠 Good engineering isn’t about defaulting to traditional methods.
It’s about adapting to current conditions and selecting the solution that delivers the best long-term outcome.

👉 In many cases today, that solution is stabilisation over reconstruction.

Ever wondered how cool foam bitumen really is? 😎

Here’s Scott from Roadstone Recycling proving the point — literally lying on freshly paved asphalt! 🛣️

Unlike traditional hot mix, foam bitumen is laid cold, making it a safer, more comfortable working environment for crews — especially during those scorching Aussie summer days ☀️👷‍♂️

Another reason why Roadstone Recycling’s sustainable paving solutions are not just greener 🌱— they’re smarter and safer too. 💪

At Roadstone Recycling, we’ve been delivering recycled materials all year long — helping to build stronger, greener roads across Melbourne’s west.

But as the year wraps up, we’re loading up on something a little different… a truck full of Christmas spirit! 🎅🎄

A huge thank you to our team, partners, and clients for your support throughout 2025. We’re proud to be part of building a more sustainable future — one load at a time.

From all of us at Roadstone Recycling, have a safe and happy holiday season.

Reflections on 2025 🌱⚽

As the lights shine over another local match we’re proud to support, we’ve taken a moment to look back — not just at what we’ve achieved, but what we’ve built together.

This year has been about progress with purpose:

✅ Supporting local community initiatives that make a real difference, like Camp Quality and Melton Phoenix Football Club
✅ Being recognised as a Sustainability Excellence Award Winner by Melton City Council
✅ Strengthening partnerships with numerous councils across Melbourne’s west
✅ Diverting over a quarter of a million tonnes of waste from landfill
✅ Supplying major infrastructure projects with high-quality recycled materials and supporting a circular economy
✅ Achieving 20% growth in recycled material sales — proving that sustainability and performance can go hand in hand.

It’s been a year defined by teamwork, trust, and shared belief in doing things the right way — stronger, greener, and ready for what’s next.

And to our friends who follow and support us online — thank you.
Your engagement and encouragement have been incredible and a big part of our growth this year.

Here’s to 2026 — another year of building, recycling, and doing our bit for a better future. 💚

🏥💚 Proud to Play Our Part in the New Melton Hospital

We’re incredibly proud to be supplying high-quality materials for the construction of the new Melton Hospital — a landmark project that will serve the growing communities of Melbourne’s west for generations to come.

While we can’t take credit for its construction, it’s deeply rewarding to know that our materials are part of something that truly matters — a project that will provide world-class healthcare, create local jobs, and stand as Victoria’s first all-electric hospital. ⚡

With a $900 million commitment from the Victorian Government, the new hospital will include emergency, maternity, and mental health services — bringing essential care closer to home for thousands of families.

For us, it’s more than just another delivery — it’s a chance to help build a lasting legacy for our region.

Here’s Scott introducing Alyssa — one of our talented Front End Loader operators — during a recent invite-only open day at our site.

At Roadstone Recycling, we’re proud to support women in construction and recognise the vital role they play in keeping operations running efficiently. Alyssa’s skill and teamwork help ensure our trucks roll out full, on time, and ready to build stronger, greener roads across Melbourne’s west. 🌱

🌏 Live demonstrations of the circular economy in action

We’re proud to see growing interest from local councils and government ministers who take the time to visit and see how real-world recycling works.

This is Scott walking guests through our live operations inside the Cobblebank command centre — where every load in, out, and recycled material is tracked in real time.

♻️ Turning construction waste into high-quality, reusable materials takes technology — but it also takes commitment and collaboration.

Whether you’re a council or a developer and want to understand how recycled construction materials can outperform virgin materials, contact us below or call us today to enquire about our next site tour. (Ph 8375 3555).

🚛💚 This year alone, Roadstone Recycling stopped over 250,000 tonnes of waste from ending up in landfill —
that’s enough material to fill Marvel Stadium from the ground to the roof! 🏟️♻️

Instead of sitting in the ground, it’s now back under our roads, helping Melbourne move forward. 🚧🛣️
