Ison & Co. Timber and Hardware - Transitions to Gubbins Mitre 10 Following Acquisition
After more than a century of serving the Shoalhaven community, the Ison family has made the considered decision to sell Ison & Co. Timber and Hardware to Gubbins Motteram Group Pty Limited trading as Gubbins Mitre 10
The transfer of ownership is planned to be completed on Friday, 30 January 2025.
This next chapter ensures that the business Ison & Co have built together over 108 years will continue to thrive in trusted local hands. Gubbins Motteram Group Pty Limited is a locally owned, family-run business operating Mitre 10 stores in Moss Vale, Mittagong and Milton, and is known for its genuine focus on local service, trusted relationships and community connection.
You will continue to see the same familiar faces and experience the same friendly service you have always known. Most of Ison & Co. Timber and Hardware team will remain in place, and your day-to-day experience in store will not change. Over the coming months, the stores will begin to transition to Gubbins Mitre 10 branding, while continuing to serve the Shoalhaven with pride.
