Every setout, level and as-built on a project goes back to one thing: survey control.

If the control points are right, everything built off it lines up. If it's out, the error carries into every pour and every tie-in to existing structures.

Usually nobody notices until something doesn't fit.

On a live site, control marks get bumped, buried and built over.

They have to be established properly, checked regularly and re-observed when something changes.

The paint fades, the PDF sketch gets lost in someone's inbox, and three months later the next crew is out there locating the same services all over again.⁠

Our Locator, Hayden set this one up so that doesn't happen. We found what's underground, every mark was picked up by survey, and the client got a clean, coordinated dataset that drops straight into the design model.

The locator info is then uploaded to our portal, so all contractors can scan the QR code to retrieve the latest SUI information on their phones.

The most expensive core on site is the one you didn't scan first.

Our team has been scanning structural slabs and walls across Sydney ahead of coring and anchor installs. The result is clear zones to drill, free of reo, PT cables and conduits.

One PT strand strike can mean an engineer's report, program delay and a serious safety incident. It's completely avoidable, and that's what we're there for.

The kit: GSSI's Flex NX for full-coverage 2D/3D slab scanning, and the NX25 for tight spots like penetrations and column bases.

What we delivered:
✔ Reo, PT cable and conduit locating
✔ Slab thickness, void and delamination detection
✔ Marked-out safe core and cut zones
✔ A digital report tied to survey control at each facility, for future re-referencing

That last point is the difference. Our results are positioned and documented, so the value doesn't wash away with the paint marks.
