Sometimes the problem isn’t the concrete. It’s the joint.

Damaged expansion joints in workshop and industrial floors can quickly become more than an appearance issue.

Rob was up on the scissor lift tackling an industrial building clean, getting to those areas that aren’t exactly reachable with a ladder and a bucket.

A different kind of work site for Rob from Industrial CQ this week.

He’s been working inside the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre, up on the flyline ladders installing MoonDeck, designed to provide a safer working platform for accessing and working around the theatre’s overhead areas.

As the photos show, this isn’t exactly your everyday workspace. Working at height in and around theatre infrastructure requires careful planning, the right equipment and a strong focus on safe access.

For Industrial CQ, it’s another example of the variety of work the team takes on across Central Queensland, applying practical solutions to make difficult work areas safer and more accessible.

And when the lights go down and the audience takes their seats, most people will never see the work that goes on above them.
