In November, I will be part of a joint exhibition with a glass artisan and a painter. This is my first piece I have made for that exhibition. It took 8 weeks to make, so fingers crossed the rest run a lot smoother. It’s housed in a Perspex tube, standing 500mm high, by 400mm diameter. Enjoy

Zigzagging over florist wire, to create styles, is one of my least fav things to do. The concentration level gives me an almighty headache. But another 60 odd to do after this, and they are all done. Then 165 more perianth’s or floral tubes to sew, to go with the 135 already completed not to mention the 38 leaves already sewn, and I should be able to start putting together my first big sculpture of the year, ready for a joint exhibition in November. Stay tuned

Welcome to 2026. Here it is, almost half way thru March and this is my first post. I spent the first 6 weeks on holiday, driving as far south as Newcastle NSW, visiting family and friends. Then I decided to enter some artwork into the Incognito Art Show, where all profits raised will go towards funding programs that support artists living with disabilities. I cannot reveal my artworks until they are sold, so hopefully you will get to see them. The art show will be in 3 different locations as well as online starting in Sydney from 24 June. All artworks are A5 in size and are priced at $100, so if you are looking to buy some art, this might be a wonderful place to look. There are over 20 thousand artists registered to donate their art, so there will be lots of variety. If you are interested go to www.incognitoartshow.com

I have had the absolute joy of looking after this until its owner came down to Townsville and pick it up. This was my piece from the Townsville Art Awards this year, and was snapped up from my socials before the awards opened up to the public. I will miss it, but happy that it will be loved by its new owner as much as I have

This was the most stressful sculpture I have even done. I have worked till 11 pm a few nights this week to get it completed, and even yesterday I was unsure I would make tomorrow’s deadline for delivery. It was dropped a few times today too, creating more headaches, but it’s finally completed.
“Meeting Place” is my entry for the Hinchinbrook Art Awards this year. The gumnuts and leaf beetles are made from Euclay, an air dried clay made from eucalyptus leaves, and the rest is thread.

My piece for the Euclay exhibition in Mandurah WA is ready for the framer. My relationship with the Euclay is a bit of a love-hate one. I love the ease of use, the shapes I can make and how quickly I can make them, but the painting bit I do not like at all, but for a first try, it’s turned out okay
