US Marine .50 Cal Starlight Gunner – Khe Sanh 1968
At Black Ops Models, accuracy comes first. Every figure and kit starts with research into period photographs, reference material and the equipment itself. That shapes each detail, from the way a weapon is mounted to how a soldier holds it.
Our first 3D printed figure is based on a well-known photograph from the siege of Khe Sanh.
The Marine sits cross-legged behind the gun, stripped to the waist, with a sweat band tied around his head. His hands are on the spade grips and his eye is to the AN/PVS-2 Starlight scope. The M2 sits on its tripod with the belt feeding into the gun, and am******on boxes complete the position. The figure and gun were designed together, so his posture, reach and sightline match how the weapon was actually crewed.
The set works as a standalone vignette or as part of a larger firebase or perimeter diorama.
