Crafted for living. Designed for connection.

The Waverley House project transformed a modest 1950s bungalow into a light-filled family home where architecture, landscape and craftsmanship come together. Created to nurture connection between family, home and nature, every detail supports a life well lived.

This oversized bi-parting cavity sliding door unit for our Foxground project with Stark Building & Constructions and Milton Drafting & Design measures an impressive 3670mm high x 6400mm wide.

Crafted in Flooded Gum, the unit is currently in production and will soon move into the priming stage ahead of its final painted finish. At this scale, every detail demands careful consideration, from engineering and manufacturing through to transport and installation.

Fortunately, Donna was on hand to provide a highly scientific reference point for just how substantial this unit really is.

A remarkable piece of joinery and one we can't wait to see installed on site.

Avoca Beach House is a deeply personal family retreat – a new home designed to honour the atmosphere and memories of the original beach house that had occupied the Central Coast NSW site for generations.

Designed by architect Dianna Thomas and built by Chris Wade Constructions, the project balances restraint, longevity and connection to place, carefully preserving the established relationship between house, garden and landscape.

Acacia was commissioned to craft a highly customised suite of Spotted Gum windows and doors throughout the residence and adjoining bunkhouse, including expansive glazed openings, bespoke shutters and a custom sliding door featuring a circular window integrated into the timber cladding.

Shaped through close collaboration and meticulous craftsmanship, the project is a refined example of contemporary coastal architecture grounded in memory and enduring quality.

It was great to have Joe and Louis from Acutis visit the workshop last week to see progress on our Southern Highlands project with MHDP Architects.

Spanning six stages, the project features an extensive suite of traditional-style timber windows and doors in Flooded Gum, supplied primed for a painted finish. With the initial stages now in production, the visit provided a valuable opportunity to review the detailing, craftsmanship and scale of the works currently moving through the factory.

This is a significant and highly detailed project that is now steadily taking shape in production.

It was a pleasure collaborating with Casey Brown Architecture and Lime Building Group on South Coast Beach House – a project defined by exceptional craftsmanship, precision and attention to detail.

Working closely with both teams from early shop drawings through to installation ensured every element integrated seamlessly within the home’s sculptural brick, concrete and timber forms. The result is a beautifully resolved coastal home that celebrates collaboration, enduring materials and thoughtful design at every scale.

Today we welcomed Kazey & Daniel from MHNDU and Iri & Travis from Rose Construction to the workshop for a first look at the progress on the bespoke Spotted Gum timber doors and windows for our current Maroubra project.

Seeing these projects take shape in the workshop is always a rewarding moment, and the response from the team today made it even more special. The craftsmanship, detailing and overall scale of the products left a lasting impression, with excitement building ahead of installation in the coming weeks.

We’re looking forward to seeing these bespoke timber windows and doors installed and bringing this exceptional coastal project to life.

Closed, the glazing of these bespoke Spotted Gum sliding doors mirrors the surrounding bushland and water views, reflecting the Pittwater landscape back into the architecture at Enclave House.

Opened, the oversized panels dissolve the boundary between inside and out, connecting the shaded lower level interiors directly to the garden and waterfront beyond.

Within, a series of secondary sliding doors opening to the bedrooms provide privacy and careful control of light, creating spaces that feel calm, connected and deeply considered.

The warmth and texture of the timber reinforces the home’s restrained architectural language and strong connection to landscape.

A glimpse of factory progress for our multi-stage Maroubra project, currently underway in collaboration with MHNDU and Rose Construction.

Spanning three stages, the project scope includes multi-slider door systems, fixed and casement windows, along with a series of combined units that pair awning and casement openings with large fixed glazed panels, including configurations with high and low light glazing.

The awning and casement units offer a refined approach to natural ventilation, enabling controlled airflow while maintaining protection from the elements – particularly important in this coastal environment.

Crafted in Spotted Gum, the joinery delivers inherent durability alongside a rich, expressive grain that will continue to mature over time. As production progresses, the focus remains on precision, ensuring each element transitions seamlessly from workshop to site.
