ADAPTABILITY, SIMPLICITY, CONSISTENCY

UMBRA is a modular constructor which covers 99% of the needs - shadow gap, floating profile of various widths, cornice lighting, curtain rods solutions and perimeter gap diffuser.

One of the central advantages is the absence of shaping. This is a system solution that enables you to significantly simplify installation and make it the most technologically advanced.

On top of that, all profiles are carefully adjusted in height and geometry, which allows you to combine them technologically. The system is adjustable and it is possible to choose the exact height settings for various types of painting work.

Equally, there is LONER in the product line. It is an independent perimeter profile that forms a shadow gap. It does not dock with UMBRA profiles and we highly recommend installing it if the design does not provide any other perimeter solutions besides the shadow gap.

Floating ceiling in drywall ceiling

The effect of a ceiling "soaring in the air" is created by LED strip light, installed along the profile perimeter and fastening with an indent from the ceiling. The indentation from the wall is adjustable and can be of any distance from 2.5 cm.

Floating ceilings enable you to visually expand the space in small rooms, or, on the contrary, to highlight the spaciousness of the room, if necessary. Such ceilings allow for creating a finish that hides the unevenness of the rough floor and internal connections within the ceiling. They also help in visually smoothing out the flaws of the room, as well as creating spectacular backlighting.

Floating profile GIPPS VILLAR doesn't show any wall irregularities thanks to the soft backlighting. It is ideal for joining the ceiling with textured wall surfaces and panels.

It is suitable for a 12.5 mm drywall. It docks with shadowline profiles Gipps 3-12.

What you should know about drywall interior solutions.

Drywall is often preferred in construction and finishing. This material has its benefits and drawbacks.

Benefits:

- easy to mount
- the surface is always even
- eco-friendly and durable
- used for tray ceilings, different constructions, arches and so on.

The material is not free from drawbacks: cracks appear over the time; it takes minimum 5 cm off the height of the ceiling; extra coating of the ceiling takes additional time.

Damper units for drywall systems designed and patented by KRAAB SYSTEMS allow to prevent possible damage of drywall sheets (DS) that occur when they are rigidly attached to the surface. The damper system in the solution cushions adverse impacts on the structure, prevents cracks in the drywall and plaster, and provides increased stability to loads arising during operation.

Problem: Cracks in the ceiling.
Solution: Shadow profiles for drywalls, with or without damper. The functional joint carries the load, so you don’t need to worry about cracks in the ceiling.

Problem: False skirting boards, not suitable for the interior.
Solution: Shadow skirting board and Kraab Gipps skirting board with a diffuser, which creates the “floating” wall effect. One more advantage is the absence of a mounted skirting board that makes it uncomfortable to put furniture close to the wall.

Problem: Swaying of the stretch ceiling.
Solution: AirKraab system which balances air pressure and prevents the possibility of the canvas in the room from swaying. It is implemented using plastic spacers in the profile, which create a ventilation gap between the wall and the canvas. To achieve a positive result, AirKraab must be applied on at least 10% of the room area. The system interfaces well with the EuroKraab and EuroKraab Strong profiles.

Problem: The area of the room is too large, it is difficult to implement EuroKraab shadow profiles.
Solution: Enhanced version of EuroKraab Strong. It is resistant to bending and twisting thanks to the thickness and metal alloy. An increased mounting step of 20 cm is suitable for using the system on porcelain stoneware, tile and other surfaces. There is an enlarged shelf for self-tapping screws as well. It facilitates the process of working with a fastening gun.

Problem: False curtain tracks. Plastic hooks move badly and noisily.
Solution: Advanced curtain track systems Slott Parsek and Slott Motion. The kit includes rubberized gliders that are noiseless and comfortable.

Today, we are discussing solutions for recesses and tray ceilings.

A tray ceiling is a solution that is performed using a combination of constructional profiles Slott 40, 60, 80 and EuroSlott or EuroKraab. These profile systems enable you to avoid bubbles and folds during installation and create an even shape with sharp corners. Such a ceiling design allows the room to be zoned or, conversely, allows to combine different functional areas.

Slott 40, 60, 80 + EuroKraab (harpoon mount system) or Slott 40, 60, 80 + EuroSlott (damper system).

Constructional profiles Slott 40, 60, 80 are versatile. Not only are recesses and tray ceilings performed utilizing these solutions, but curtain recesses and skylights as well.

Minimalism in the ceiling interior

We have analyzed and determined current European interior trends. The leading tendency is minimalism. Minimalism in everything. Steer clear of excess: masking tape along the perimeter, glaze coat, photoprint and the like.

To perform a minimalist design has turned out to be the most difficult thing from a technical perspective: thin built-in track-systems, frameless luminaries, lack of masking tape, which is not easy and requires training and certain skills. However, the method itself is equally profitable and promising.
