How do you take a break and unwind? I’ve been hoping to get back into the garage and finish a few pieces, but I’m now accepting that I need to officially say, “I need a break”. Thank you for everyone who is still here and thank you for those who have recently followed me. I’ll be back to flipping furniture, hopefully soon, but I am accepting that there are other things that need to take priority in my/our lives. ❤️❤️❤️

It's difficult to find MCM sets, even more difficult to find them for a decent price. The whole set is and so glad we were able to snag them. The curves on these drawers were the most challenging part to sand without blowing through the veneer. I thought about keeping these all natural, but hubby really liked the black and walnut combo. I also love this combo.

Available- I went back and forth about my vision for this dresser. The top drawers were bad and the top was laminate, so I knew paint would be involved. As always, I tried to keep as much wood as possible.

There wasn’t a lot of progress videos and pictures with this piece. I wanted to focus on the progression and not the documentation. There was a lot of steps with this piece and I’m always open to sharing them. The summary is: cleaned, sand, scuff sand, prime, touch up areas, spray paint, paint, stain and top coat. BIN shellac was used for primer, Advance in Coventry Gray for paint, black for stain, black spray paint and Wipe On poly in satin for the top.

Do you love bold or neutral colour furniture? Finally getting to posting the stills of this headboard! Love this vibrant blue for this headboard and the matching dresser.

Do you think this was an easy flip? This solid pine dresser was a custom for a past client. 💙 When I received the dresser I found out that 4 drawer glides were broken. I was able to find replacements at and my amazing husband installed them for me. I suggested cutting the bottom skirt to modernized the dresser a bit, which I was able to do. (Hopefully this builds up my confidence with power tools). The top was sanded down multiple times because I wasn’t happy with how it was turning out. Pine is not the funnest wood to work with in my opinion. The top was stained with dark walnut and then top coated with satin floor varnish. The whole dresser was painted in this bold blue called Evening Blue by . Now on to the next project!

Done! Was difficult to get pictures of this little corner hall table. We received this table from parents. ❤️ She also gave me some paint and my son chose the colour Soapstone. The top is Walnut and top coated with water based varnish. Pretty pleased with how this turned out.

Delayed photos. Took me awhile to get these on here. Sanded down then oiled the front with wipe on poly. For the top I decided to try something different and used Hybrid Varnish and love how easy it was to apply. The trim and base were painted with (of course) Command in Onyx.

Our driveway is obviously not levelled. 😬 I kinda love how they’re not identical. The tones are different and the grain is so different. These nightstands are a warm up to the 9 drawer dresser that I need to get to. These were scraped, sanded, (I tried to strip one) then I applied a wipe on poly to all the walnut veneer. Then painted the base and surrounding around the drawers with Command in Onyx.

Sold- here are the stills (finally). I was so inspired by work that I wanted to try to refinish an antiques dresser. I don’t know how Taylor makes it look so easy, but her work is always beautiful. This was a lot more work than I expected and it didn’t come out exactly like I hoped, but I’m glad I persevered.

I think I’m almost done the antique dresser and realized I didn’t post the photos of this hall table. Thought it was going to be an easily-ish project, but it came with some challenges. Painted in Onyx and paint washed then stained with Antique Walnut gel stain. I was expecting to sell it, but it’s staying with us.

Available- Forgot to post the . I loved the original refinish, but didn’t love how the bottom damaged. So we added legs to pick it up off the ground. I also loved the first colour I used, but I couldn’t get the touch ups to blend. I didn’t want to repaint, but felt I had no choice. The easy ones are never easy.
