"We had a wonderful experience with Trevor and his team.
We had a large project involving replacing a two level deck as well as a stone walkway, steps and patio.
We wanted to hire a company that was capable of doing both.
We found two local companies that both had excellent reviews and were Trex certified dealers.
The first company came out and said they needed to have a permit company take measurements before the could even give a quote. The person who met with us was obviously not going to be doing the work. This meant we needed to pay an outside company before we could even get a quote!
We needed a permit anyways and wanted two quotes for our project, so we consented.
Trevor met with us the following week and the difference was night and day. He was going to be the one leading his crew so knew what he was doing. He was able to take measurements himself and give us a quote on the spot.
The quote was less than the other company, but that's not the reason we hired Diamond Decks. It was that Trevor was knowledgeable and professional. There were issues with the drawing for the permit from the other company that Trevor recognized and explained.
He had to work with our Township to amend the permit to ensure it met the standards of Diamond Decks and our Township.
Throughout the whole process, Trevor showed patience and professionalism.
We had decided on the main deck style and colour, but Trevor made helpful suggestions regarding the railing, the privacy screen, the width of the steps, the border of the walkway etc. He made sure everything tied together beautifully.
Trevor brought samples for us to see. Then, we decided we wanted natural stone steps, Trevor even arranged to have samples of those brought out so we could see how they looked with our project. That is the difference between an average company and an exceptional one!
We are so happy with the finished project and it has turned our backyard Into a showpiece!
Trevor and his team were incredible hardworking. They did much of the work through the winter even though it was a cold and snowy one, to ensure out project was competed in the spring.
