Just another Friday...
Bastogne walnut for an amazing dining table 😱
This 13’ slab of Bastogne walnut was cast in smoky grey resin to create a 12’x5’ dining table for a local client.
The particular log this slab came from yielded some of the nicest material we have ever seen.
Next step? Flatten and de-bark the slab.

And that's how it's done!
Quilted maple dining table with smoky black resin 😱
This was a custom commission for our client in Illinois who opted for rounded corners paired with a solid walnut trestle base.
The slab was selected from a salvaged log, found in a ditch on Vancouver Island. To date we've created 10 pieces of furniture from this single tree with just under half of it remaining.
One of the most highly figured logs we have ever salvaged, so honoured to give this magnificent tree new life!
