Project in Kanata, ON;

The client was looking for a durable, v***r permeable and weather resistant membrane as an underlayment for a roof renovation. The SIGA Majvest 200 membrane with accessories were chosen.

The SIGA Nail Sealing Tape was applied between the vertical strapping and the membrane to reliably seal all fasteners.

The plumbing vent stacks were sealed with the SIGA Fentrim Grommets to compliment the system.

The HECO Topix®-plus structural screws were used to fasten the vertical and horizontal strapping.

Project in St-Albert, ON:

The client was seeking products for the wall assembly that outperform in extreme cold as well as heat to provide a comfortable interior climate year round.

He chose Gutex Multitherm 40mm rigid wood fiber exterior insulation protected with the SIGA Majvest 200 v***r permeable weather resistant membrane. All products were installed meticulously by the client.

Vertical strapping will now be installed overtop of the Majvest 200, fastened with HECO Topix®-plus screws, driven in through the insulation into the studs in a specified patter to support the weight of brick veneer.

Herrmann's at Wood Solutions Conference Calgary 2025.

Alberta’s premier event dedicated to wood design and construction, presented by the Wood Works! Alberta program, was held on November 21st. This one-day conference brought together expert-led seminars, cutting-edge innovations in wood building systems, and networking opportunities for professionals in architecture, engineering, and construction.

With over 20 Speakers, 20 Exhibitors, and about 250 attendees, it sure was a packed and busy event. It was really great to engage with new industry professionals and to catch up with customers and friends.

Herrmann's at WoodRise 2025.

The Woodrise International Congress promotes mid- and high-rise timber construction and supports sustainable, resilient building practices worldwide. It serves as a hub for collaboration and knowledge exchange among architects, engineers, developers, researchers, policy-makers, and government officials.

This years conference took place in Vancouver, BC, on September 22-25, with over 30 speakers and over 60 exhibitors. It was attended by 1,070 delegates out of 25 countries.

It was great to be part of this event, to meet new industry professionals, and to see customers and friends at the same time.

Good afternoon everyone,

It’s been a while since our last post. Old man winter has since arrived, and the Christmas season is just around the corner. Summer and fall sure blew by in a blink. It has been a very busy season at Herrmann’s, with exhibiting at different conferences and supplying countless projects with products we offer. We are grateful for all of the opportunities and the support from our customers.
