How Does a Co-Extruded Cap Work?

Unlike an uncapped WPC board, a co-extruded board features a protective outer layer bonded to its core.

During manufacturing, the WPC core and the protective cap are extruded together to form a single board. The core provides structural strength, while the cap helps protect the surface against stains, moisture and UV exposure.

Another Project Spotlight from Costa Rica📍

Poolside decking has a few things to deal with: regular exposure to water, outdoor conditions and everyday use. For this rooftop project, Proshield WPC Decking was used around the pool, lounge and dining areas.

Its ultra slip-resistant surface provides better traction underfoot when wet, while the protective co-extruded cap helps resist moisture, UV exposure and fading.

The decking also follows the curved edges and circular seating area, working naturally with the shape of the rooftop.
