A tuning fork and a quartz crystal have something in common: both resonate at a natural frequency.

Quartz also has a piezoelectric response—it converts electrical energy into tiny mechanical motion and produces an electrical response as it moves.

A powered oscillator circuit amplifies and feeds that signal back, sustaining the oscillation and producing a stable clock source.

Clamp one wire—or both? The answer changes.

One conductor shows the current flowing through the load. When the outgoing and return conductors are clamped together, their opposing magnetic fields mostly cancel.

In a balanced circuit, the result should be near zero. A non-zero reading indicates an imbalance worth investigating, but it does not identify the cause by itself.

How does 220V AC become a controlled 60V DC output?
