At WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, every Car Painting team was equipped with an IONSTAR set.
As Bronze Sponsor and official Skill Sponsor, we wanted our contribution to be practical: giving all 24 competitors access to the same final preparation capability before coating.
IONSTAR neutralises electrostatic charge on prepared surfaces. This helps reduce static-related dust attraction and avoidable dust inclusions, supports more even metallic laydown, and helps create cleaner, more repeatable preparation conditions.
The skill and results belonged to the competitors. IONSTAR did not determine any placing. But where every preparation detail matters, controlling an invisible surface condition can support painters in pursuing their best possible result.
