Coal Quality Control Specialist
Are you a qualified Chemical Engineer, Chemist, or a professional from a related technical field with experience in coal quality monitoring and evaluation? Join East African National Distribution S.C. (EAND), a distribution partner of National Cement, and contribute to ensuring the quality, efficiency, and reliability of coal supplied to cement plants.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

✔️ Monitor and evaluate coal quality against approved technical specifications

✔️ Review laboratory results, including calorific value, moisture, ash, sulfur, and volatile matter

✔️ Coordinate coal sampling, laboratory testing, and quality verification

✔️ Evaluate coal suppliers’ performance and identify quality deviations

✔️ Analyze coal quality trends and assess their impact on cement production and fuel efficiency

✔️ Prepare technical reports and recommend corrective actions for quality issues

✔️ Maintain accurate records of coal test results, consignments, and supplier performance

✔️ Coordinate with cement plant laboratories, production, procurement, and logistics teams

💼 Qualifications

✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant field such as Industrial Chemistry or other closely related disciplines.

✔️ Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in coal quality monitoring, laboratory analysis, or cement manufacturing

✔️ Knowledge of coal testing methods and laboratory result interpretation

✔️ Understanding of cement plant fuel requirements and coal quality specifications

✔️ Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills

✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

አንዳንድ ሕንፃዎች ለምን እንደሚሠነጠቁ አስበው ያውቃሉ?

አንድ ሕንፃ ጥንካሬው የሚለካው በተገነባበት ግብዓት ነው፡፡ ስንጥቆች እይታን ከማበላሸት ባለፈ የከፋ መዋቅራዊ ችግር ምልክት ሊሆኑ ይችላሉ። ስንጥቆቹ ለምን እንደሚፈጠሩ መረዳት የጊዜን ፈተና የሚቋቋሙ ሕንፃዎችን ለመገንባት ቀዳሚው እርምጃ ነው!
ለህንፃ መሠንጠቅ ዋና ዋና ምክንያቶች፦
❌ ዝቅተኛ ጥራት ያላቸው ግብዓቶች (Poor Materials)፦ ዝቅተኛ ጥራት ያለው ኮንክሪትና ደካማ አሸዋ ወይም ጠጠር መጠቀም ጫናን መቋቋም የማይችል ደካማ ውህድ ይፈጥራል፡፡
❌ ትክክለኛ ያልሆነ እርጥበት (Improper Curing)፦ ኮንክሪት በቂ እርጥበትና ጊዜ ሳይሰጠው በፍጥነት ሲደርቅ፣ የመኮማተር ባሕርይውን ይጨምራል፡፡ ይህም ቀስ በቀስ ስንጥቆችን (shrinkage cracks) ያስከትላል፡፡
❌ ከመጠን በላይ ጫና (Overloading)፦ አንድ መዋቅር እንዲሸከም ከተሰራለት አቅም በላይ ክብደት ሲጫንበት በቢሞችና ስላቦች ላይ ከፍተኛ ጫና ይፈጥራል፤ ይህም ወደመሰንጠቅ ያመራል፡፡
❌ የመሰረት መንቀሳቀስ (Foundation Movement)፦ ከሕንፃው ስር ያለው አፈር መንቀሳቀስና ያልተመጣጠነ አቀማመጥ ሕንፃውን ወደተለያዩ አቅጣጫዎች በመጎተት ከጊዜ በኋላ ስንጥቆችን ይፈጥራል፡፡

🛡️ መፍትሄው? አስተማማኝ ግብዓትን መጠቀም!
ከመጀመሪያውኑ በጥራት ላይ አይደራደሩ። ህንፃዎ ወደር የሌለው ጥንካሬን እንዲላበስ፣ ዘላቂና ለትውልድ የሚሻገር አስተማማኝ መሰረት እንዲኖረው ናሽናል ሲሚንቶን በልዩነት ይጠቀሙ!
