Our namesake, relating to a frontier (Borderland) trading post, where an adventurer/ outdoorsman/ explorer could comfortably equip themselves for self reliance in our chosen product ranges.

We are really excited about housing our brands under one roof - Bushlore, Borderland Bushcraft & Vårdkas. >> 🔥

Canvas & leather go hand in hand.. Some of the original pieces back when we were just ‘Bushlore’ the canvas and leather mini-workmat is still one of my favourite go to’s when lighting a fire. We are currently working to streamline the manufacturing process on our canvas range as we still make these to order in-house so wait times can vary (we try to keep some on hand for quick dispatch on our website)

We are also working on some synthetic pack and storage designs in the background, so keep an eye out for these in the future!

The Strøm™ firesteels are our minimalist ferro rods of choice. Made from a thick 1/2" rod of our high quality ferrocerium compound. Available in 4" and 6" lengths.

Ferro rods AKA ferrocerium rods (and the whole host of other names they go by) are a great and really fun way to light a fire. Most lasting for over 10k+ strikes as well as working at high altitudes!

In 2017, we ignited our journey by offering a range of traditional fire-lighting kits & tools, slowly moving into waxed canvas heritage goods. After plenty of experimenting and refining our brand, ‘Borderland Bushcraft’ was born - a family-run, British-based bushcraft and self-reliance store. We stock a curated selection of outdoor products. 🔥🌳📣
