One of our favourite things about attending exhibitions like UK Garage & Bodyshop is seeing people get hands-on with our products.

Photos and brochures are great, but there's nothing quite like picking up a tool, taking a closer look, seeing a demonstration and having a chat with the team about how it could help in your day-to-day work.

Over the two days, we had lots of great conversations with visitors exploring products from across the Sykes-Pickavant range, asking questions and sharing their experiences from the workshop floor.

Here's a look at just some of the products we brought along to UK Garage & Bodyshop 2026.

Every tool has a story to tell 🔧

Our latest SP Archive donation comes from James Lackmaker and his mum, Carole, who generously donated a collection of tools in memory of husband and father, Jack Lackmaker.

Jack owned a family-run motor spares and repair shop in Chingford, London, from 1970 to 1991. Before that, he served in the RAF as a Radio Technician, and throughout his life became known as someone who could fix almost anything. From classic cars and boat engines to lawn mowers and even a hang glider, no challenge was too great.

Many of the tools donated to the SP Archive have been carefully preserved for more than 30 years, with some still in their original boxes. They are a lasting reminder of Jack's skill, dedication and pride in his work.

We are incredibly grateful to James and Carole for sharing Jack's story and helping us preserve a small piece of engineering and automotive history for future generations.

One of the highlights of UK Garage & Bodyshop 2026 was the launch of our brand-new EV Safe range.

As electric and hybrid vehicles become increasingly common, safe vehicle handling has never been more important. That's why we've developed EV Safe – a range designed to support recovery operators, bodyshops, garages and first responders when working with EVs and hybrids.

The EV Safe range provides real-time battery status verification and four-wheel lockout functionality, helping to prevent unintended vehicle movement and support safer incident response.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited the Sykes-Pickavant stand at UK Garage & Bodyshop 2026.

It was fantastic to catch up with familiar faces, meet new customers, and spend time talking about the challenges and opportunities facing today's workshops.

The show was packed with innovation, great conversations and plenty of interest in our latest products, including the launch of our new EV Safe range. Seeing so many people stop by for demonstrations, ask questions and share their experiences is what makes events like these so worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who visited us over the two days. We really appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you again at future events.

We’ve talked a lot about the tools, the catalogues and the history… but what about the packaging? 📦

From a recent donation to the SP Archive, we’ve come across some original boxes from J.F. Sykes and J.W. Pickavant and the similarity is hard to ignore 👀

Even before the merger, both brands were using very similar styles, from the red boxes to the repeated logos.

We often mention the crossover in tools, but clearly it didn’t stop there 🔧

It’s been a week since UK Garage & Bodyshop, and we’re still thinking about everything we saw at the show!

From exciting new product launches and workshop equipment to impressive vehicle displays, busy stands and even a robotic dog, there was so much to see across the event.

Shows like this are a great opportunity to catch up with customers and suppliers, see what’s new in the industry, and have conversations with the people helping shape the future of automotive repair and maintenance.
