The team at Gridforce supplied ground reinforcement grids for installation across two car parks at Sue Ryder Hospice in Gloucestershire, helping to create stable, usable parking areas while maintaining a natural finish.

Both areas were surfaced with locally sourced gravel and installed by Abbey Surfacing, with the projects completed two years apart in 2024 and 2026.

In reality, it wasn’t.

DG Scott was brought in on a primary school project to resolve safety risks around external steps used daily by pupils, with full compliance being essential.

The complications:
• Elevated access at the top of a flood bank
• Standard systems leaving climbable gaps
• Mixed ground conditions affecting install

We delivered a fully bespoke solution:
• Wrap-around design eliminating side access
• Laser-cut steel infill panels (no climbing points)
• High-visibility yellow finish
• Secure install across paving and grass

Designed, manufactured, and installed in-house — giving the contractor a single point of responsibility and no headaches.
