Good morning and happy Friday from Larter & Ford!

There are loads of things we love about owning Larter & Ford; one of the highlights is responding to what our amazing customers are looking for and bringing in new products based on your feedback.

Today is one of those days as I’m really pleased to launch a new partnership with Sassy’s Floral Design to bring into store vase and gift ready bunches of seasonal flowers. Sassy's Floral Design is a local florist specialising in natural and playful floral design. The vast majority are locally homegrown and any supplements are English blooms with the little details that make each bouquet unique.

Each week we will have just 10 bunches available on a Friday morning and of course each week they will be different. Every bunch is ready to go and perfect if you are looking for something to take to friends over the weekend or just want to treat yourself.

There’s also been lots of new arrivals this week in store, from new Sabatier knife blocks in wood and in stainless steel and an expansion of our range of mandolins along with a restock of our range of rainbow silicone cooking tools.

Sandtex masonry paints gets a whole restock with every colour available in a tester pot and the most popular colours being available in the larger sizes and finally to end where I started, I’ve managed to source a dough scoring tool for all you home bakers.

Finally, if you don’t already follow our page, please do - as we get closer to Christmas our new gift ranges and some new product launches will be posted on there first!

Good morning and happy Friday from Larter and Ford!

This time of the year is always really exciting in retail; we are busy working behind the scenes sourcing some fantastic new suppliers and new stock ready for the upcoming season - I’m nervous too as I want to ensure we get it right!

In the meantime I think it’s fair to say the shop is a bit groaning at the seams and new stock is arriving all the time, below are just some of the highlights of what’s been happening this week.

First up is the fantastic Falcon Enamelware, I love their products and every time I order I can’t help but bring in a new colour of their stunning 3 pint jug and this time it’s this lovely Sky Blue colour - one of these is definitely making it home! Also new from Falcon are red enamel mugs and red espresso cups along a red 25cm square bake tray.

I’ve been looking for a while for a functional yet great looking traditional egg timer, and I’ve finally found one. These wooden and glass egg timers have a 3 minute setting which is perfect for a boiled egg for dipping.

Our really popular berry colander cups are back in stock in every colour and joining them are these melamine mini-colanders in four different neon colours.

Finally (and I do already have one of these at home!) back in stock are these lovely cow milk jugs in two different sizes, I just love these and they make a great gift.

Good morning and happy Friday from Larter and Ford!

This week there have been lots of new arrivals in store, and as always below are just some highlights of our new stock.

First up is a new product range from Price and Kensington. The range includes this ribbed pumpkin-style teapot, radish spoon rest, cabbage dipping bowl and pear salt and pepper shakers. Also new from the same company are these stunning mugs, which come in two designs - orchard fruits or garden vegetables.

New to us from Mason and Cash are these lovely ceramic measuring spoons and also brand new are their ever popular mixing bowls in a special Christmas design for this year.

Talking of which I’m firmly of the view it’s definitely not time yet! At Larter and Ford our Christmas cake toppers, cake drums and ribbons will be on sale after November 1st (cake pans and tins are already in store) along with advent candles and our Christmas window and product launches will be after Remembrance Sunday.

Finally new from Kilner, and I’ve been waiting a while for these to be launched, are these brilliant glass food keepers. Each is designed to keep food fresh without using plastic and includes an onion keeper which will store a small onion or a cut onion in the fridge without the smells, a lemon keeper designed for the same purpose and an avocado keeper designed to keep the whole fruit fresh. Each piece looks amazing and they will make a great addition to any kitchen or a great gift.

Good morning and happy Friday from Larter and Ford!

This week we have had lots going on, with lots of new stock based on your feedback in store.

First up is some amazing new stock from our friends at Netherton Foundry; a family firm in Shropshire making spun iron cookware using locally sourced materials and exclusive to us in Norfolk. New to us are the whole size range of their frying pans, from 8 inch to 14 inch - all with removable oak handles and suitable for all hob types.

Also new from Netherton are these lovely skewer sets, coming in a set of 6 and in two sizes they make for a lovely gift or a treat to yourself! - they are very limited in stock.

Finally Netherton also makes hand crafted tin lined copper cookware - this style has been used in the finest restaurants since the 17th century and with every pan being handmade; no two are the same. In store is a 6 inch spun copper milk pan with pure tin lining and a 11 inch pure copper hemispherical mixing bowl - fun fact, copper reacts with egg white proteins to make a more stable meringue! Both copper pieces are real investment pieces, but they do look stunning and are well worth coming to have a look!

We have been asked about stocking air-tight plastic storage boxes and I’ve wrestled with trying to find something that is a good price but its origins are in recycling and I found this range of small air-tight plastic boxes made from 100% food grade waste plastic.

Heading to Spain now and two new products are in store, induction safe Paella pans in 38cm and 42cm size (and made in Spain) and a Plancha Grill - Plancha Grills are perfect for searing delicate food at very high temperatures.

Finally from Osmo, new to our range is an Anti-Bac Wood cleaner which is a ready-to-use surface disinfectant; designed for oiled and waxed wood surfaces - effectively removing everyday dirt, grime and bacteria without damaging the wood finish and it is ideal for floors, furniture and kitchen worktops.

Good morning and happy Friday from Larter and Ford!

This week we have, as always, lots of new arrivals in the store - and quite a bit we have squirrelled away ready for the C word which it is just way too early to be talking about; especially whilst we are all enjoying some Autumn sun.

First up, and a brand new release from Stellar is their Profile Matte range. All of the range are uncoated and made of matt finish stainless steel and they are suitable for all hob types. We have three sizes of frying pan available - 20cm, 24cm and 30cm and they are joined by Chef Pans in 20cm and 28cm sizes.

Sticking with Stellar, earlier in the year they launched their new Stellar Zero range - what’s amazing about this range is that while they are 100% uncoated stainless steel with no chemicals; they have been precision-etched on the cooking surface to provide a non-stick like performance. We already stocked the frying pan in 20cm, 24cm and 28cm sizes but the range has been extended to this amazing glass lidded Saute Pan and Casserole Pan - all are suitable for all hob types.

I do confess I might already have my heating on in the mornings, though it might be a bit early to light the woodburner - but in advance of doing that, along with some new fire companion sets, we have stocked up on our range of baskets in all sorts of designs and shapes.
