Ever spotted rope handles on our Wet Cast products? 👀🧱

You might’ve noticed from some of our previous posts that a few of our Wet Cast stone blocks come with rope handles sticking out – and yes, a few curious minds have asked us how and why we do it!

So, we’ve put together a quick video showing exactly how we insert the rope handles during the casting process.

Sometimes our customers request removable rope handles to make it easier for construction teams to lift and position blocks and panels on-site. Once fitted, the holes are grouted over to give a clean, seamless finish.

Simple. Practical. Built with the installer in mind.

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as drycast done right 👌🪨

Watching a drycast mix get compressed and trowelled is one of those small joys – and honestly, drycast is one of my favourite products we manufacture here at Greystone.

It has the authentic look and feel of natural sandstone, but unlike traditional stone, we can create moulds to suit any size, style or intricate design your project needs.

Details that once took stonemasons weeks of chiselling can now be produced at scale and delivered on time – without compromising on craftsmanship.

Stone perfection in under 10 minutes 🕒✨

Today we’re producing a beautiful ivory wet cast product using a bespoke pigmentation selected by the customer.

Timing is everything with this mix – it goes from mixer to finishing trowel in under 10 minutes, before being left to cure and then hand polished for a flawless finish.

Precision, speed, and craftsmanship – all under one roof.

A closer look at our stunning Portland Stone ✨🪨

Here’s an example of our gorgeous Portland Stone, finished with a polished quartz style fleck that really catches the eye.

As one of our wet cast products, it can be manufactured to any shape or size required by your architect – perfect for both modern builds and heritage-style projects.

And of course, it’s fully compliant with the Gateway 2 Building Safety Act and made in-house at Greystone HQ in Halifax.

Ever wondered how we manufacture our external cladding? 🏗️🪨

Here’s a quick 10-second video showing the panel-making process for one of our larger projects – this one’s made using Grade 10 poured GRC.

We also produce Grade 18 GRC in-house at our Halifax factory, applied using a high-velocity spray gun for a different finish and strength profile.

From start to finish, it’s all done under one roof – built with care, tested for safety, and made to last.

Nice touch – and here’s why!

Ever noticed rope handles sticking out of some of our wet cast stone products? There’s a simple reason…

Some customers ask us to add temporary rope handles to blocks and panels to make them easier to carry on-site. Once in place, the handles are removed during fitting.

It’s all about making life a bit easier for the people on the ground 👷‍♂️💪
