An early twentieth century carved wooden figure of a jovial musician playing a guitar, most likely from Bavaria, Germany. This jolly chap once stood on the green dresser shelves in The Tudor House, Hastings. He’s beautifully carved, even down to the detail of his jacket folds on the reverse, as shown here. For sale: an early twentieth century carved wooden figure of a jovial musician playing a guitar, most likely from Bavaria, Germany. This jolly chap once stood on the green dresser shelves in The Tudor House, Hastings - see last image. For sale: folk toys chapels illustration. A beautifully illustrated study of Eastern European toy chapels from Czechoslovak “Folk Toys / Les Jouets Populaires”; an original hand-blocked print from a book by Emanuel Hercik containing illustrations by Emanuel Hercik and Oldrich Menhart of folk toys from around the world, printed in 1951. The print is mounted within a thick card border, and could be used as is, stood on a shelf, or framed and hung on a wall. This is an original, so we only have the one!!
