Job description
Garden machinery technician/ plant and tool hire technician
We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Small Tools Fitter / Service Engineer to join our busy plant hire depot. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of small plant and power tools, ensuring all equipment is in safe, working order before it goes out on hire. Working hours are Mon -Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm,
Good rates of pay- depending on experience
Overtime available

Responsibilities
Inspecting, servicing, and repairing small plant and tools (e.g. breakers, saws, generators, pumps,stump grinders, whackers, digger's etc.)
Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs
Carry out pre-hire inspections and function tests
Testing equipment to ensure safety and compliance before hire
Keeping service and repair records up to date
Maintaining a clean and organised workshop
Use PAT testing equipment to check and certify electrical tools
Occasionally assisting with deliveries or collections if required
