A unique blend of synthetic, glass-like fibers with a larger amount of ultra-fine flash, UVR, and pearlescent fibers. Every color is carefully mixed from several shades and infused with a touch of perfectly black, metallic fibers that create a subtle silhouette effect. The flat shape of the fibers makes the blend pulse vividly in the water, and since it doesn't absorb water, the fly stays lightweight. Its translucent structure makes it ideal for tying small and micro imitations of freshwater and saltwater baitfish and fry, shrimp, and similar creatures. No other material needed: this blend alone is enough to tie an entire fly.

The Killer Bug Variant – from the vice of Lee Hooper, not just for Grayling...

Lee didn't have the classic wool "Chadwicks 477" used by its creator Frank Sawyer, so he looked to match it with equal blends of Sybai Alpaca Dubbing, in beige, dark brown and pink...

The variant is tied on a Grip 14711BL #12 with a lead underbody,
finally a pink Sybai flat tinsel head.

Originally created for the Grayling, but it was soon found to be good for trout both on rivers and also still waters...

Alpaca is a superfine and long stranded dubbing and very easy to work with. Mix it with a little cdc floatant to get superb floating flies because many strands are hollow. Use for body, winging as a replacement for hares ear or bucktail.

Bright colour box contains ten colours – either Bright or Dark selections. Mix Colour box has added UV flash fibres added.

Apparently rainbows on the big reservoirs at the moment are having a feast on these Gammarus Pulex, ften referred to as Skuds, these freshwater shrimps are a trout favourite of the fly angler too!
A fly pattern worth having a range of colours in your box for large reservoirs and stillwaters...

Scud pattern, body Sybai Camel dubbing its a really good product being 100% natural with fine, kinky & strong fibres, giving a tight nymph body that can be teased out, tied on a Grip Caddis 14122BL with a Grip backstrap for the case.
