Seccombe Builders Merchant As a family-run business Seccombe, we've been supplying quality building materials and tools since 1926!

Whether you’re working on a large-scale construction project or a home DIY renovation, we've got you covered. Seccombe Brothers was founded in 1926 by Percy Alan Seccombe as a general hauler. As a key business during the war Seccombe’s lorries were seen delivering and helping in the clear ups during the war. Over the years Seccombe's slowly began to move it’s business toward Builders Merchanting

until the removal of the haulage side in 1979 to concentrate wholly on building materials. Percy died in 1959, leaving the company in the hands of his children with Alan P Seccombe as Managing Director, who has led the company from strength to strength since. Seccombe's needed to grow and did so with the opening of three new trade outlets, (one in St.James's Rd; Croydon, the next in Wickham Rd; Shirley, and a Timber yard added to the Syon Lane branch ). Eighty years since it all began the company has turned again, to see the next generation of Seccombes taking the company in to the next millennium. All this ensures we are able to give the best possible service and advice based on 80 years of Builders Merchants' experience in both sales and product knowledge.

Important Update: Temporary Change to Opening Hours

Due to ongoing economic pressures, we’ll be temporarily closing on Saturdays from 11th May (last Saturday open: 9th May).
Our weekday hours remain unchanged: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm.

This change allows us to maintain the high level of service you expect, with stronger staffing and consistency during the week.
This is a temporary measure and will be reviewed in six months.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Did you know we are celebrating our 100 anniversary this year. Founded in 1926 by Percy Alan Seccombe, this company was started with loan from his mother to buy a lorry. 100 Years later, the Seccombe name has become a significant part of the history of Osterley and the wider area, and we are pround to have served this community throughout the years. We look forward to seeing what the next chapter will bring.
