Linitherm PAL HW-M has all the same qualities as PAL HW, but with the added benefit of factory bonded, A1 fire rated mineral wool to the underside. This extra layer also contributes further by deadening impact driven noise.

Linitherm PAL HW-M boards interlock on all four sides preventing vapour escape and deflection at all board joints. Being interlocked, external load is spread across the adjoining boards, not per individual board as with standard straight cut PIR insulation. No crushing under foot or undulation being read through the thin outer skin.

2 X 100% aluminium vapour barriers (not paper based foils), one on the cold side, one on the warm, locking out the dominant external temperature whilst locking in the desired temperature with a high performance PIR core. PAL HW-M has the addition of factory bonded A1 Fire Rated mineral wool to its underside providing extra protection against fire and sound attenuation.

Being a warm roof and facade product, Linitherm PAL HW-M can be installed directly to the substrate (timber, metal, concrete, blockwork) with no requirement for a vented void between the insulation and the structure, or the outer skin and the insulation board. As both facade and roofing are non vented using Linitherm PAL HW-M, there's minimal opportunity for fire to obtain oxygen within the system. The void between a vented roof or facade and its insulation is designed like a chimney effect to draw air from the bottom of cladding, or eaves of roof, to the top of the cladding, or ridge of roof in order to prevent condensation on the underside of the outer skin. However, in case of fire, this feed of oxygen allows fire to quickly spread or leap floors. The more intense a fire becomes, the more air will be drawn into the void pushing the fire upwards in a confined and shielded space. This can create a firestorm within the void where exposed breather membrane, paper based foil covered PIR, moreso PUR and EPS along with other flammables are present. Many outer skin roof and facade materials no longer require ventilation and can be specified compact and non vented with Linitherm PAL HW-M.

The 50% cap extension announced for domestic energy prices has placed an even bigger question mark over how the future of energy supply will affect the everyday household.

We do know the prices will not decrease and should prepare as much as possible to ensure that we are not beholden

As a result of this increase apparent in all our futures, Passive House design and home upgrades have never been such a hot topic.

A home's EPC will be a far greater deciding factor on a properties worth as much as hospitals and policing as these are now centralised rather than local. School catchment areas have also eased in many areas leaving ongoing house hold running costs a bigger consideration than ever.

More rewarding publications surrounding Hill House and it's AlphaMesh facade surround. 2.3 million views in 2 weeks!

The material itself was a fraction of the £4m total build cost mentioned in the video.

A lot of work went into protecting this building all thanks ultimately to the National Trust and their supporters.

It was a pleasure for Exploded View Ltd as agent for AlphaMesh to work on this technically and throughout supply alongside Carmody Groarke Architects, Price and Myers Engineers, Miller Fabrications for the Steelwork and Robertson Construction as Main Contractors.

Linitherm materials are PURE LIFE Certified.
Linitherm PAL HW with 22mm factory bonded P5 surface for perfect finish standing seam warm / non vented roof and facade.

PHW with 10mm factory bonded top for perfect finish liquid applied and single ply. Tight bond with no deflection or vapour drive at board joints.

Both HW boards have a P5 exterior grade topper and PIR/PUR insulation boards are tongue and groove cut, interlocking on all four sides preventing air escape / vapour drive at board joints. These areas are where condensation can occur causing underside corrosion for metal roofing, and air escape/vapour can cause surface bubbling for liquid applied, perfect for large expanses where a totally flat uniform surface is required.

2x100% aluminium sheet vapour barrier above and below PIR/PUR (not paper based foil). Perfect for Passive House designs

Once fixed, our interlocking Linitherm HW boards behave as one united platform, completely flat whilst spreading load across the whole surface rather than each individual board.

Exciting news to hear that National Trust for Scotland has been named by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) as the winning RIAS/Scottish Government Client of the Year Award, in recognition of Hill House "The Box" project, designed by Carmody Groarke.

Exploded View Ltd are proud to have worked on behalf of AlphaMesh alongside Carmody Groarke, Price & Myers and Robertsons throughout the specification and supply of the 2700m2 RingMesh Facade. AlphaMesh was and is the only RingMesh strong enough to be installed and tensioned in this way.

The highest peak for this project is 22m with no requirement for visible rear supporting facade structure. The mesh is tensioned top to bottom and where required, invisible aircraft cable is weaved through and tensioned left to right, taking some of the load laterally. There are numerous other ways to fix according to project requirements.

AlphaMesh is available in various natural metal finished and powder coated in 0.7 and 12.0mm ring sizes for interior and exterior installations. We also offer beautiful delicate metal fabrics for interior designs only
