Need the house Repointing ?? No problem , we have you covered.

Customers shaun and Bev have a loverly home but a previous repointing job had always bothered them and they were not happy with the aesthetic look of their property.

From the pictures you can see the builder had used a very cement heavy mortar mix with building sand only, this gave the mortar a toothpaste sort of look.

We removed all the old mortar , raked out to a depth of 25mm , cleaned all the brickwork and repointed with a mix thats in keeping with the style of house and the area.

in addition we replaced the bottom two course of brickwork below damp, new DPC to the front and side of the property.

Criterion House George street HU1

Sometimes the guys are working in the tightest of spaces and not the most ideal situations but I must say they did a great job.

Called in at the 11th hour

This job had multiple brickie contractors over the proceeding couple of months and most of their work was not upto scratch and was taken down.

At this stage we got the call

Helping other trades and local business when they have been let down or have a tight deadline is very rewarding.

Garden wall with repurpose fabricated railings.

John the customer was delighted we managed to reporpose the existing railings and fit them to his new design, saved a fair few £££ too.

Busy weekend !!!!

28m2 paved area needed a make over.

Old patio had been laid direct onto the soil and spot Bedded causing cracked, uneven, dangerous, unusable space.

Not to worry.

Couple of days preparing the ground and installing a stable MOT subbase and we was ready to start laying pavers and building a new step.

Emily and her mum are superb customers to work for and we thank you for looking after the boys.

Overall I think we did a good job, area looks really good and has brough it back to life.

Repointing Job

Full front , top to bottom grind out , bit of Helifix Rod repair and then repointing.

2 full days , customer is very happy and wants us back to do the roof n chimney

Drainage channel installation this week.

Customer is keen to sell their property in Kirk Ella and start a new chapter in Beverley.

Issue was surveyor picked up the patio had breached the damp proof course and was running towards the house instead of away from the property.

Options suggested
Rip up the patio - Bad idea , costly and time consuming. 😢😔🙈
Or
install a Drainage channel to collect the water and carry away into the existing drainage - No brainer 😀👍👌☀️🌞🕶️

Surveyor Is now happy and has signed it off.

Customer can now move forward with their plans and onto a new chapter.

Back on the Crack……. Stitching.

Good time of year to be repairing damaged mortar , repointing and cracks in walls.

Helifix crack stitching is the way to go to prevent those cracks getting bigger and tie it all back together.

Once repointed it’s hard to see where it was in the first place.

Nice bit of Helifix crack stitching few weeks back.

Customers property had a bit of settlement over the years that had caused the bricks to crack the mortar and had caused them some concern.

The fix is straightforward, mortar is ground out to a depth of 40mm , a chemical reactive resin is installed before and after Helifix rods are inserted.

These rods go in every 4 to 6 course of as per the structural engineers recommendation for a standard fix.

Complete piece of mind !!!
