Conference Badges Ltd is a Kingston based company which has an established foothold in the events industry, producing name badges as well as providing technical services; to both produce name badges on demand and turn the badges into a useful data capture and marketing tool.

To keep up with growing demand we are looking to grow our existing onsite technical team with the addition of an Onsite Technical Manager. The successful applicant will receive training in setting up, configuring and delivering our technical solutions at live events.

After developing the necessary skills the Onsite Technical Manager will provide
these services both in the UK and internationally.

The job offers an exciting opportunity for a technically minded individual to be involved in the fast-paced live events industry, delivering a consistently high level of service while working on new innovations. There are many opportunities to travel, as we support events worldwide for some of the world’s best known brands.

Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth ex*****on of onsite services
- Pre-event client communications regarding technical requirements
- Full set-up in house for onsite jobs
- Technical support at events
- Reporting live data and producing post-event reports
- Set up of ‘dry hire’ equipment and providing remote support
- Training team members on skills that will help them
- Contribute to the improvement of tech solutions
- Contribute to developing new tech systems
- Maintain and ship hardware
- Produce documentation for systems
- Assist with more technical aspects of badge production (such as advanced data merging)
- General assistance to the team as required

Required skills
- Candidates must be competent in relational database development and/or a general purpose programming language such as Python, C++ or Visual Basic.
- Strong customer facing skills and communication
- Organised and disciplined approach to work

Useful skills
SQL Server, Microsoft Access, VBA, AWS, Javascript, Adobe Creative Suite, Web Services/API integration

Working hours
Normal office hours 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. Additional hours will be required in order to deliver projects. Additional hours onsite are compensated with time off in lieu.
