📊🏠 NEW: We spoke to more than 2,000 people living in social housing, and the results make it clear why all political parties must commit to building more social homes.

- 70% said they wouldn't be able to afford to live in their local area without their social home.
-Living in a social home is 64% more affordable than private renting - social tenants pay on average £828 less per month in rent than private tenants.
-69% of parents said social housing had given their children a stable home.
-43% of social tenants said it has enabled them to live close to their support networks.

Social housing enables people to live better lives. But right now, we don’t have anywhere near enough of it. With the just around the corner, we can't afford to waste any time. We need 90k new social homes every year for 10 years to end the housing emergency for good.
