British Gypsum conducted a test using Thistle MultiFinish. 🔥

The aim was to check the adhesion of the material to plasterboard when applied by spraying. Thistle MultiFinish was applied using an Agrekom plastering machine together with the industrial AGT-40 spray gun.

Applying a spray coat (spatterdash coat) is a crucial stage that determines the adhesion of the entire plaster system. It creates a rough, load-bearing surface so that the main plaster layer has something to bond to. 💪🏻

Problems arise when the spray coat is applied too thinly, with overly diluted mortar, or unevenly. In such cases, the entire structure loses stability.

When using a plastering machine, the spray coat can be applied quickly and evenly, maintaining a consistent texture across the whole wall surface. And it is precisely this consistency that determines the quality of the subsequent stages of work. 🏠
