When you're a working musician like Robert Ray, you sometimes have to use whatever means necessary to make emergency repairs. After the screws failed on the output jack plate, Rob used black electrical tape. It worked for a while...

Like many other hollowbody Gretsches, this black beauty suffered from stripped backplate screw holes, making black electrical tape the most expedient road repair. Let's square this away!
