Assembly Operative ‐ No Experience Necessary ‐ £21,450 ‐ £23,250 (£10/hr)
Production Operative (Skilled) ‐ £23,595 ‐ £25,757 (£11/hr)
Team Leader ‐ £26,812 ‐ £28,612 (£12.50/hr)
All positions require the candidate to be punctual for a 7am start and to be committed to fulfil the contracted hours of 7am – 4pm Monday – Friday, Woodston, PE2 7JN
All candidates must:
- have a positive attitude
- be willing to work as part of a team
- have the ability to use basic hand tools e.g. Drills
- be able to read a tape measure accurately
Position Details
Assembly Operative £21,450 ‐ £23,250 (£10 /hr)
Reports to the Team Leaders
No Experience Necessary
You will move between areas and teams to meet the demands of the business and to find the position best suited to your personal abilities.
Areas Include:
- Building Team – Assembling pre‐prepped windows in the correct combination according to paperwork. Cleaning and quality checking of the corner joints and paint finish.
- Gasketing Team – Inserting rubber seals into the frames to ensure no air and water leaks are in the final product.
- Hanging Team – Bringing the frame and opening vents together by accurately attaching the hinges and handles and checking for smooth window operation.
- Finishing Team – Trimming and clicking the glazing bead into the window frame and conducting final quality checks.
- Dispatch Team – Protective wrapping the final products onto the delivery ‘A’ Frames to protect from damage in transit. Accurately logging of the items being dispatched.
For the right candidate there may also be opportunities to learn SAW operation, CNC operation and further career progression.
Production Operative £23,595 ‐ £25,575 (£11 /hr)
Reports to the Team Leaders
Job role as the Assembly Operative but with 2 years+ industry specific experience. You will be placed according to your specific area of experience.
Team Leader £26,812 ‐ £28,612 (£12.50 /hr)
Reports to the Production Managers
2 years+ industry specific experience but with a more in‐depth knowledge of the products overall.
You can read production drawings and have the ability to accurately track what your team has produced.
You have the ability to train and motivate staff in your specific area.
You can follow correct procedures, quality and health and safety standards.
Typically, you would be responsible for a team of 8‐10 employees.
General Info
This is a manufacturing for construction environment (not warehousing) and manual handling should be expected for all positions.
Some areas can be messy on hands, specifically the building team, due to the use of silicone sealants and methylated spirits for cleaning.
