Always service your kit people. This was the primary fuel filter of a 1.6 digger I just serviced 🤯🤢, the secondary wasn't any better.

That is a mix of crud, water and diesel.
It's also a fine example of why you should never run your fuel tanks out as this builds up at the bottom of the tank but will only really get pulled through when you run the tank low.

So a tank drain later she's all good 👍.
