What if art begins where others only see material... 🎨

For Piet, that's his reality. Working from Madeira, he creates striking mosaic steles built on WEDI building boards - transforming broken tiles, minerals, glass, and even meaningful vintage jewellery into one-of-a-kind art. Each piece emerges from countless fragments to tell a story and preserve a memory. Later this year, the first steles will feature in a travelling exhibition on Madeira, with five works auctioned to support a charitable cause.

Part 2: the test.

Klemens built the water box in Part 1 - building boards, wedi 610, no shortcuts. Now we fill it up and find out if it holds.

This isn't just a fun demo. It's the same reason the water box has been doing the rounds at trade shows and training sessions for years - nothing proves watertight like actually watching it hold water.

Obviously nobody's building an actual box on site. But the same boards go into showers, partition walls, custom builds - wherever it needs to stay dry.

Let's see if it leaks.

These before-and-after images from the Marriott Hotel Copenhagen show how existing hotel bathrooms were transformed. The bathtub was replaced by a custom-made wedi Fundo Integro solution with integrated point and linear drainage, creating a modern shower space and making better use of the available room.
