Wellness at home

wedi steam rooms are modular, and a lot of the work is already done at the factory before anything reaches you. The hot and cold water pipes can come pre-assembled, and the lighting can be built in too.😁🚿

Less to put together on site, and more freedom in how the space ends up looking.

PET or XPS: what’s actually inside?

Most Fundo shower elements have an XPS core. Fundo Solido is the exception. It’s made with a 100% recycled PET foam core that handles pressure better.📗📘

The reason is the floor it’s made for. Solido was developed for PVC coverings and for high point loads, like wheelchair wheels and walking aids, so it needs a core that won’t give under that kind of load.💪

There’s a lot more wedi in this bathroom than you can see

The base is Fundo Flex. It can go wherever the layout needs it and be lined up in a row, and with the Sanbath Flex washbasin it comes together as a bathroom built around the room.

Swipe to slide 2 to see what ends up hidden under the tiles and surfaces once the job’s done. You won’t see it in the finished bathroom, but it’s doing most of the work.

Water's gotta move, not just sit there.💦🚿

That's the whole idea behind Fundo Wave's drain - the wave structure keeps water flowing toward the outlet instead of pooling, and it helps the area clean itself as it goes.

Small shape change, less standing water, less gunk to deal with later.

Didn't expect to see a wedi panel turn into this.

Over in Madeira, artist Piet is using wedi building boards as the base for huge mosaic steles - broken tiles, minerals, glass, personal keepsakes, all built up layer by layer into something genuinely one-of-a-kind.

Shows there's more to these boards than waterproofing, even if that's still the day job.

The first pieces are going on a travelling exhibition across Madeira, then five of them get auctioned off at year's end - most of the proceeds go to charity.

Small detail, does more than you'd think.

Fundo Wave's shape helps water move properly toward the drain and keeps it self-cleaning while it's at it, less buildup, less maintenance headache down the line.

Comes in DN 50 or DN 40 extra-flat, so it fits different installation heights without forcing a redesign.

Vinyl floor, running straight into the shower drain - how do you make that transition work?

Vera (our product manager) breaks it down in this one: how to get a clean, safe tie-in from vinyl flooring to the drain without it looking or feeling like an afterthought.💪

Seamless, accessible, and actually done right.

Not every job fits a straight line.

This private wellness space in Kettering is a good example of what you can do when off-the-shelf just won't cut it. Big XPS blocks, carved into custom curves and wall structures, then pieced together on site into one tailored setup.

Proof the system bends (literally) to the design, not the other way round.
