🔴 Last week, our local MP Sureena Brackenridge raised concerns in Parliament about the impact of steel tariffs an issue that, alongside other emerging policies, could have far-reaching consequences for manufacturers, suppliers, merchants and the wider construction supply chain.
At a time when businesses are already managing rising costs and market uncertainty, additional financial pressures risk impacting the competitiveness of UK manufacturing and increasing costs throughout the sector.
Perhaps most concerning is the lack of awareness around the scale of these challenges.
As an industry, we need to come together, raise awareness and ensure our collective voice is heard. Industry events and conferences provide an important opportunity to discuss these issues and develop a coordinated response.
Are we doing enough as a sector to prepare for and respond to these changes?
