Safety first - always! It’s the Drowning Prevention Week and I’ve been busy teaching my adult clients (as well as these younger folk for ) all about water safety - and how to float.
Learning to float is an important life safety skill - and the foundation of your swimming technique and it’s why I teach with a Float First approach.
So, sharing this essential ‘Float To Live’ safety tip that could help save a life one day...
💙Tilt your head back
💙Stay calm - try to control your breathing
💙Relax and move your hands and legs slowly to try and help you float. Don’t worry if your legs sink, we all float differently.
💙Focus on laying not standing in the water and tilt your chin up.
💙Breathe and call for help.
Remember it. Share it.
Make sure your loved ones know what do if they get into difficulty too. It’s never too late to start learning how to float.
I’m now taking booking for Sept term and will be holding some Learn To Float 1 x hour Workshops so pop me a message here if you’d like to sign up!
Happy floating (because it’s also THE best feeling in the world)
