It’s exciting to see the growth and development happening across Ireland, and we’re proud to play a part in supporting the construction of new homes and communities.

Recently, our team was out in site in Adamstown, carrying out a range of testing services including CBR tests, nuclear density gauge (NDG), readings, shear vane, and more - ensuring the ground conditions meet the required standards.

We even managed to enjoy some great views of the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains while on the job!

All roads lead to Croke Park this weekend!

Best of luck to all our Cork-based staff travelling for the All-Ireland Final – safe journeys and enjoy the match!

We recently visited the Croke Park area to carry out infiltration testing on nearby paths and cycle lanes.

These tests assess the asphalt's ability to absorb rainwater runoff, helping to reduce the risk of flooding, erosion, and accidents.

Ronan, one of our site technicians, was recently out on a site, carrying out a range of testing on freshly laid asphalt.

Pictured is the Mattest van alongside two impressive pieces of equipment – a VÖGELE MT 3000-2i Offset (green) and a VÖGELE Super 1800 class (yellow). In combination, these 2 machines deliver material laying without interruption and segregation. The superior finish delivered by these specialist machines is reflected in tests such a rolling straightedge testing and texture depth analysis.

Mattest recently undertook on-site testing on a trial section of pavement on the N52 Woodtown, Ardee.

The resurfacing new “self-healing” wearing course, supplied by Roadstone Ltd. was the first of its kind in Ireland. As part of the contract, Mattest technicians were involved in sampling, temperature recording, compaction monitoring, texture depth measurement & rolling straightedge testing. This compliance testing ensured that initial quality and that long term performance of the new surface could be assessed.
