“La rivoluzione è liberare lo spazio dal superfluo per tornare alla materia pura”
Emanuel Gargano ha chiuso il ciclo di talk HYLEtech con una riflessione potente sul concetto di Rivoluzione. In un giorno simbolo di liberazione, il suo intervento ci ha spinto a guardare oltre i secoli di architettura intesa come “massa” e protezione. Se un tempo servivano cinque metri di spessore per definire un limite, oggi la rivoluzione sta nel condensare quella forza in un solo centimetro.
Gargano ci ha parlato di una “pelle” che torna a essere struttura, integrando luce e tecnologia in modo invisibile, senza “sporcare” il progetto con scatole di derivazione o sensori esterni. Un sogno che permette all’architetto di comporre lo spazio come un’opera astratta, dove la tecnologia non è un’aggiunta, ma l’anima stessa della materia. Un ritorno alla leggerezza che avrebbe reso felici i maestri del Moderno.

Emanuel Gargano closed the HYLEtech talk series with a powerful reflection on the concept of Revolution. On a day symbolizing liberation, his talk urged us to look beyond centuries of architecture conceived as “mass” and protection. Where once five meters of thickness were needed to define a boundary, today’s revolution lies in condensing that same strength into a single centimeter.
Gargano spoke of a “skin” that becomes structure once again, integrating light and technology invisibly, without “cluttering” the design with junction boxes or external sensors. A dream that allows the architect to compose space like an abstract work of art, where technology is not an add-on, but the very soul of the material. A return to lightness that would have delighted the masters of Modernism.
