IS AC WATER THE SAME AS DISTILLED WATER?

Lately, there's been a growing trend and some confusion about using water from air conditioners (AC water) as distilled water. Many believe both are the same. But are they really the same? Some even claim to have made millions of naira from it..😄😄

The truth is
Distilled water is made from distillation process, this involves boiling water to create steam and then cooling that steam back into liquid form. This is done to eliminate impurities and minerals, resulting in very pure water. The water is free from salts, heavy metals, and microbes.
Distilled water is commonly used in Laboratories, batteries, in medical equipments, skincare products etc

While AC water is a CONDENSATE, moisture from the air that condenses on the cooling coils of an air conditioner. It's a byproduct of humidity being removed from the air. Though it looks clean but is not distilled!!👂It may contain dust, bacteria, metal particles etc.

While AC water might appear similar to distilled water, they are NOT THE SAME. Using AC water in place of distilled water especially for sensitive applications can lead to contamination, damage, or even health risks.
