The weather has been a bit ordinary lately. Well, to be truthful, it's been a bit ordinary for a long time.
Anyway, even amongst all the rain and mud a little light relief can shine through.
Great effort put in from the boys to put this scaffold up this week and the rain gods decided to give us a show in return.

Every now and then we do something a little different.
This is definitely different. A platform inside a house that has had smoke damage. The ceilings require repainting. Except that the main living area ceiling is two storey vaulted ceiling. So, we built a platform to reach that ceiling. Pretty sure you could have a game of tennis up there, it's so big.

Replacing in-built guttering for continuous spouting. This platform is at the ideal height for working at gutter level.

We've been a bit quiet lately. That's because we have been head down, bum up, working hard.
Here's some of what we have been up to.

Keep an eye out on Grand Designs for this house. That's our scaffold in the background.
It was an interesting job, multi-level, half Gables, false walls where we had to reduce platform width from 4 planks to 3 along the way (but build the ability to to do so in from the outset). Fun though
This was also the job where we created the mobile 4 metre platform inside the building. You might recall that from an earlier post.

This house is getting new weather boards on the second level. The builders need access to do this around the higher side of the building.
We often get to put scaffold around existing buildings where there are established gardens and other features. The Intaks system is good at navigating around trees that can not be bent out the way.
We've also kept vehicle access to the garages under the house.

Just wrapped up this house in Carterton on a very wet Friday to top off a busy week.
This house really showcases how much free access is provided for the builder under the free standing scaffold. This is a unique advantage of the Intaks system.
We also keep doors and windows clear of scaffold legs so hardware can be installed if desired.

This house has a fantastic view overlooking the Ruamahanga River. Being built on a very steep hillside running down to the river presented some challenges but the access for the painting team couldn't be beaten. And they loved the view too.

Off with the old tile roof and on with a new Colorsteel roof for this house in Ku**er Crescent. Edge protection all round for this job with a good sized access platform.
