Process behind the piece.
Creating bespoke features from New Zealand natural stone involves a range of cutting, shaping and finishing methods - and the capability to execute them well.
At The Natural Stone Co., we either carry out this work in-house or partner closely with specialists who do.
Shown here is Te Akau limestone on our CNC machine in the early stages of being formed into large landscaping steps. A process known as 'toast-racking' involves making a series of precise, uniform cuts to a set depth. The remaining stone is then hand-chiseled away, before the surface is finished to suit the application.
A blend of design, precision processing and craftsmanship - resulting in something clearly bespoke, and entirely New Zealand.
