The Nacionale Magnetic Blade Guard.
Some of our ideas start with a conversation, and this one started with Chef Niko Martinez back in 2019.
He showed us a homemade blade guard he had put together by taping two magnetic sheets together. It was a simple, practical solution to a problem familiar to many chefs, and it got us thinking: How could we take this idea further?
We went on to develop our own version, combining a PU outer layer with a carbon fiber inner layer for greater cut resistance.
Looking back, it’s a reminder that some of the best ideas don’t come from a drawing board. They come from listening to chefs, learning from their experiences, and finding ways to make their work a little safer and easier.
This one started with Chef Niko, and it’s a original product we’ve been proud to build on ever since.
