Pivot.

I cannot cook, bake, or garden to save my life. But I can sure tell a story. While everyone else is turning into a Plantito and Baketita, I've morphed into TechieBeki 😜

Inspired by an article on upping your Zoom game by , I went ahead and did just that...Lalamoving hardware from in the lockdown to build a setup that's crisp and broadcast quality! I now have my own home studio 😜

Here's a short clip of a webshow I did with .quillamor of The Morning Rush and Boys' Night Out for (check out the one hour show here https://www.facebook.com/baitvcebu/videos/1627480017421173/) , debuting my new setup!

How do you like the mood? 😍

I'm tickled when people assume I travel with a photographer or just download my photos online. I take them myself πŸ₯°

On this trip (well, trips...Malaysia and Pampanga just a day after) , I switched from my favorite lens to the first prime I owned, my trusty .

The former, a bit bulkier and pricier (PHP50,000 vs PHP 13,000) does have the advantage of being able to capture wider angles as well as detailed macro shots. But lugging it around is a bit cumbersome.

I was ready to walk a few steps back to get a wider shot (if there is enough space) for the compact lightness of the 35mm. And look how that gamble paid off!

Attached are detailed food shots (this bowl of chilies were taken at 's Grassroots Family Farm in Sta. Rita, Pampanga); a interestingly colored door and staircase with a cat along 's famous Bubble Tea Street on SS15; and a portrait of I took inside .my .

Versatile, light, does the job.

Don't tell my 16mm I said so 🀣

Oh yeah, I use my beat up πŸ˜‰

Blessing your feed with photos of my brunch πŸ₯°

One of the dishes I was most looking forward to tasting when I got to was the fish head noodle soup because it was unique to this area. You google "fish head noodle" and it is always appended with "PJ". That excites me.

I also loved that my choices were made for me by and Aldryanna, the only customization I enjoy is on my Goyard bags πŸ˜‚ I am overwhelmed by buffets and choices, so I appreciate that this was pre-picked for me.

Apparently, there are many restaurants offering the soup, but this one was packed with oldtimers (not tourists), and that's always a good sign.

I enjoyed the milky version with evaporated milk, cilantro, and thin rice noodles (mee swa?). Crispy fried fish on the side, and lots of sambal. I also learned that sambal is a general term for chili sauce, and that there is one for a particular dish. This one had citrusy lime and fermented krill (bagoong).

There is also no one way to enjoy it (watch Ariff's method on my IGTV), just do enjoy it.

Brunch today was a original...salmon fish head noodle soup πŸ₯°

and Aldryanna brought me to their favorite one (address in post) and taught me their way of enjoying it: fried fish on the side to keep it crisp, and extra sambal!

Funny that these are the only videos we took there. The main vlogger (Ariff) was too engrossed in his soup to even bother documenting it 🀣

From a foodie perspective, THAT'S a good thing.

PBA legend (Hello Cebuano Hotshot!). Number One Cebu City Councilor on your rookie year in politics.

And yet my all time favorite thing about you will always be that you are a testament to good parenting (cue Papa Boy in the background!). My biggest compliment to you remains: you do your parents proud. Sipsip ko ni Tiya Lydia because you know I adore her as much as you do!

Happy birthday, 😍😍😍
