A school that tells a story from the ground up. 🏫

North Melbourne Primary School Campus, designed by ARM Architecture, is a six-storey vertical campus.

ARM Architecture chose Marmoleum Marbled as the primary floor covering across all levels. The brief demanded durability for busy circulation areas, sustainability credentials for a healthy learning environment, and a colour range extensive enough to give each level its own distinct identity.

Each building level represents a layer of Wurundjeri Country, culture and language, developed in deep collaboration with N'arweet Dr Carolyn Briggs AM, a senior Boonwurrung Elder and former pupil of the school herself. The ground floor is the 'Emu's Egg'. The third floor references the 'Land' in earthy tones. The fourth level becomes the 'Sky' in vivid blue.

"The new build has exceeded our expectations. The Molesworth Campus is an impressive architectural design, which the students and families have enthusiastically embraced." — Sarah Nightingale, Founding Principal, NMPS

Today is International Day of Clean Energy, a moment to look ahead. Clean energy is a key driver of sustainability and an essential part of achieving UN SDG 7: clean, reliable energy for all by 2030.

Since 2012, our production has been fully powered by clean electricity. In 2018 we switched the production of Tessera carpet tiles to biogas, meaning our Bamber Bridge site operates entirely on renewable energy. We've come a long way but our journey doesn't stop here. We've set a target to reach 50% of renewable energy by 2030.

Here’s to building a cleaner future, together. 🌱

The Pantone Color of the Year for 2026 has been announced; PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer: a soft, luminous shade of white symbolizing a collective return to calmness, clarity and contemplation. It allows the mind to wander and creativity to flourish.

Our global head of design Dorothé Kessels reflects on this choice and how it connects with our flooring; 'favoured by architects and designers, this pure, airy white enhances brightness and creates a sense of spaciousness and serenity.

In addition, brighter interiors have been shown to enhance mood and well-being while reducing the need for artificial lighting, helping to lower energy consumption. White also serves as a neutral canvas, allowing other materials, textures, and architectural elements to stand out'.

We have teamed up again with Dezeen to showcase one of our products: our digitally printed Flotex Vision range.

Inspired by the themes in our 2025 trend report, our design team created the Natural World designs, which are highlighted in this video.

Flotex flooring acts as a blank canvas for designers to print on. This flooring product is flocked—a process that makes it particularly suitable for printing—and can be used across a variety of environments.
