Accordion Storm Shutter Installation Steps

1. Lay out all numbered and pre-drilled parts near the window.
2. Position and level the top track above the window.
3. Mark the wall and secure the top track with concrete anchors and screws.
4. Insert the wheel assemblies into the top track with pins facing outward.
5. Adjust the shutter curtains evenly away from the edges.
6. Attach the side panels securely and ensure they are straight and flush.
7. Install the bottom track and insert the curtain bushings into the grooves.
8. Fasten the curtain start strips to the side panels using provided screws.
9. Test the shutters to ensure they close and lock properly.
10. Apply caulking around the shutters for added sealing and finishing.

Pro Tip- 🛠️ 10-Step Bahama Storm Shutter Installation Process

Step 1: Match the Build-Out Frame (BOF) numbers with the corresponding shutter frame numbers.

Step 2: Position the BOF frame against the window opening and secure the top corner with the provided fastener.

Step 3: Ensure the frame is level and aligned properly, then install another screw diagonally at the opposite bottom corner.

Step 4: Insert the remaining screws into all pre-drilled holes on the BOF frame for maximum support.

Step 5: Attach the shutter frames to the BOF using the pre-drilled hinge holes and supplied screws.

Step 6: Install the remaining hinge screws and insert plastic plugs into the BOF holes.

Step 7: Apply caulking around the frame if additional weather sealing is desired.

Step 8: Attach the rubber pieces to the bottom corners of the shutter frame and close the shutters securely.

Step 9: Mark, drill, and thread the tabs on the BOF using the included drill bit and tap.

Step 10: Install the open rod mechanism, secure the screws, and push the shutter outward to complete installation.
