To those of you that know me ,know I sent Jay Leno a book written by Elwood Haynes, titled "The Complete Motorist". Haynes was the inventor of the Haynes automobile manufactured in Indiana and maybe the fist automobile made in America.
Three weeks later I was in the barn and the phone rang ,caller I.D. Said NBC broadcasting company, so I answered and the guy said he was Jay and told me I was a hard guy to get ahold of, I apologized and told him I had been on a cruise. He said he called to thank me for the book and an article on the Doble steam car, I told him I sent it to him because I new he had one. To make a long story short we talked about automobiles, steam machines and other things for about 10 minutes.
This is a moment in my life I will never forget.

THE JAY LENO STORY !

Ok now I have collected a lot of weird mechanical stuff, but these Ukrainian farmers are kicking my butt. One of them borrowed ,that’s nicer than steal, a mobile radar unit from the Russians, but I did get a photo of a farmer stealing a mobile rocket launcher. Now you gotta admit that’s cool.

Now y’all know that I love antique machinery and people that work on antique machinery, it doesn’t matter where they’re from including Ukraine, you just have to love people that are using farm equipment to refurbish and use tank parts.
